Pool Deck Lady

Accessibility

Our commitment

Pool Deck Lady is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including visitors with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities. Every neighbor who lands here should be able to see our work, understand what we do, and reach us — by whatever means works for them.

The standard we follow

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard commonly applied to business websites and referenced in connection with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a finished task. We review the site as we add pages and photographs to it, and we treat any problem a visitor reports as a fix to make, not a complaint to file.

What we have done

  • Keyboard access. Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and a clear outline shows which link, button or field is selected.
  • Labeled forms. Every field carries a real label, so a screen reader announces what it is for.
  • Readable text. Type is sized and colored for contrast, and the layout holds together when text is enlarged.
  • Generous targets. Buttons and links are sized for larger fingers and unsteady hands, on phones especially.
  • Described images. Photographs carry text descriptions, and video on this site is decorative — no information appears only in a video.
  • Reduced motion. Turn on your device's "reduce motion" setting and the moving water, drifting backgrounds and animated scrolling all hold still.

Reaching us another way

Nothing on this site has to be done online. Booking a consultation, requesting a reseal ticket, asking us to take down a photograph, a partner inquiry — every one of them can be handled over the phone with Rose at {{ phone }} or (941) 235-1000, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

We will take your details, read them back so you know they are right, and handle the request exactly as if you had filled in the form yourself. There is no disadvantage to calling, and no part of our service is reserved for people who use the website.

If it is easier for you, we can also read a written estimate aloud over the phone, send it in larger print, or go over it in person when we visit.

Parts of the site we do not control

Some pieces of this site come from outside companies: the address suggestions in our forms and the map data behind them, and the fonts and video used for appearance. We pick accessible options where we can, but we cannot guarantee how another company's software behaves.

If one of these gets in your way, call us and we will take your information directly. You will not be held up by it.

Tell us about a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you have a suggestion for improving it, we want to hear about it. Call {{ phone }} and tell us what page you were on and what happened — that is enough for us to work with.

We respond within two business days. We will help you finish whatever you were trying to do, and we will work to fix the problem itself so the next person does not run into it.
